I am a 30+ year resident of Hayward and attended local public schools including California State University East Bay in Hayward where I earned my Bachelor’s degree in English. I earned my Master’s Degree in Library and Information Science at San Jose State University. I have ten years of professional experience marked by innovation in library services and local government. I first joined the City of Hayward staff in 2008 as a Supervising Librarian. I was appointed Acting Library Director in 2009. I have served Hayward in my current position as Library and Community Services Director since February 2010. I am proud to serve the community I have called home for so many years.
